i used a few tablespoons of coconut oil on my hair, and i want to know how long it will take to get off my hair.

Coconut oil is very moisturizing. I don't know why you used it directly on you hair for though.

But what you going to want to do, is before you rinse it out, put deep conditioner in your hair for 3-4 minutes. Just put it all through your hair where the Oil is. Then you can rinse all of the conditioner and oil out with your normal shampoo, but after the shampoo your going to want to put more of the deep conditioner in. Leave that on for about 2 minutes so it can soak in. Then rinse that out, and when you get out just pat your hair with a towel, making sure its not soaking but you don't want all the water out. That should leave your hair completely moisturized and back to heath; if thats what your trying to do haha.
If you use Dawn dishwashing liquid it will cut right through that oil in one washing. Shampoo might take a few washings or more.
