What does coconut oil do for your hair?

I've heard that coconut oil is really good for your hair, but what does it do for your hair?What does coconut oil do for your hair?
It is good...it will make it shiny, smooth and help mend split ends if you need that. But if you have dandruff or oily hair it probably is not good. I have split ends so i have done that it makes it feel good and soft. But when my sister with oily hair tries it it make her hair look like she had put too much mousse in it! hahaWhat does coconut oil do for your hair?
it makes your hair thick and it adds oil onto your hair (shampoo takes the oil away from your hair which is bad)
my aunt uses it. it makes your hair soft and it really stimulates hair growth, plus it smells like chocolate!
