Eczema appears to have several causes including an infection of the skin. Coconut oil will do nothing and it isn't particularly moisturizing by itself. Ask your doc what moisturizers s/he recommends to control it. Most kids outgrow it.

Ezcema can be caused due to a lot of factors. If it is caused due to very dry skin, coconut oil works better than olive oil massage. I used it for my daughter esp. during winters. Also try almond oil.
