I know coconut oil applied to the scalp makes the hair thicker and stronger, etc etc. So if I apply it on my skin, will it also make the hair there thicker and stronger? Cause I really don't need that.If I apply coconut oil on my skin, will it make the hair there thicker?
I applied Cocunut oil to my skin for about 2 months and i didnt notice any change in this reguard, it made it softer and healthier looking... As for the people who are saying cocunut oil makes your skin shiny... it doesnt at all but rather leaves the skin with a healthy glow (I once even melted the cocunut oil and put it on my face and still wasnt as shiny as i thought it would be.) It does a great job at keeping the skin supple and hydrated and is a miracle worker for wrinkles.
The only reason why i stopped applying it to my face was because i became addicted to applying it due to the benefits of it. In effect, the extra oil began to clog my pores and i began breaking out.) (so just watch out for that.)
Also, make sure you use extra virgin cocunut oil and preferably organic.... its the best kind.
Here is a great website boasting all of the beneficials of Coconut Oil.

hey da.........first of all why da hell do u want 2 apply coconut oil on ur skin???????
dat onli results in a oily and sultry look .why do u wnt dat?????????by da wy.........hair does grow!!!
it will make it shiny and smell like coconuts
OK, here's the thing......I've read some articles online about coconut oil making the skin softer %26amp; better hydrated, especially in dry climates, acting like a natural moisturizer, but I can't really say I've heard anything about it's effect on the body hair...........however, what I have read is that olive oil, (which also thickens %26amp; smooths the hair when applied to the scalp) does not thicken the body hair.....quite the opposite, to the extent that some people claim that applying it to the skin after hair removal actually makes the new hair softer %26amp; less stubby, thus easier to remove next time. So I'm not really sure about coconut oil, but maybe it's the same.
Anyway, u can always save it for ur hair %26amp; apply olive oil to ur body or face skin instead, just to play it safe.
By the way, coconut oil is great used regularly as a cooking oil or salad dressing. It reduces cholesterol %26amp; glucose level, acts as an antioxidant, speeds up the metabolism rate of the body (i.e. helps in weight loss programs), imroves thyroid function %26amp; actually contains less calories than most other natural oils, even though it's a saturated oil.
Great question by the way..........I'm currently interested in the beneficial effects of coconut oil, %26amp; ur question really made me read more about it....thanks!!
